Recommend a good 4K hr pump? Replacing sump-pump

I had my pond put in last year and the installer put a sump-pump in the skimmer as the main pump. The pond is around 800 gallons with a nice waterfall about 4 feet high that splits into two smaller falls. He used a sump pump which really puts on the volume of water but I know it will not last long term. I am wondering what would be a good pump that will be energy efficient, last several years, and put out around 4000 GPH to feed the waterfall. Any recommendations?

did you post your numbers right?you want to put a 4000 gph pump in a 800 gal.pond.to answer your question the performance pro is a great pump.the 1/4 hp will pump 4900 gal per hr. 9 1/2 ft. high. uses about 300 watts.have had mine for 12 yrs.

I have used the EcoPlus pump for the last two years, I run it during the winter with success if you can find them. Bought them off eBay. Here it is on Amazon

I also have a Alpine Cyclone 8000 pump if you need something with kick. I have to push water 50 feet uphill and this works nicely? I run his one in the Summer, creates a lovely noisey waterfall.
