Can someone share their thoughts on these 2 filters?

I need a new filter and am choosing between these 2. I was curious if there are any negatives on either, or if one is known to be a better filter. One is a Tetra and the other is a Laguna. Thanks!

If no one has used either of these you can read the reviews on Amazon.com. They give the negatives too.

My pond is only 300 gallons. I have a pondmaster mag drive 1200 pump that works great so I need a filter that will work with that pump. I was just told this morning that the tetra filter wont work with my pump because my pump isn't big enough. I was also told to get the Oase filter because they are the best on the market. So, I'm researching that now. There is a fishmaster filter that would work, but I can't find it in stock anywhere. So....still looking for a filter. I definitely want one with a UV light and a backwash feature.

I just ordered the Laguna filter. Hopefully it will work out well. I wasn't comfortable with the Oase filter. It seems to not be available in many places so I figured if it every breaks it will be difficult to get parts, etc.
