Wind & water level

Here in Oklahoma we can get some wind, major wind, strong wind that seems to never let up.
Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone notices that when it gets real windy if their water level goes down?
We had some pretty strong winds last night ... still going on today ... & my water level is noticeably lower. I thought maybe a leak but no water anywhere & if it were a leak there would be water somewhere with this much loss. I checked everything ... hose connections etc ... No leak, everything is good.
The only thing I can think of is wind ... maybe it's being blown away/out of the waterfall, instead of falling back into the pond. IDK. |

The wind is blowing very hard today, and I have been watching the water spray all over as it comes out of the falls. You will lose water from that. I have. Only thing to do is keep an eye on the water level. Maybe we will start having some days without all this wind.

Thanks, Teri. Surely with April almost upon us, things will start turning warmer. I think this has been the wackiest winter/spring yet. I have a to-do list a mile long and ready to get to it.

Yup, I often see spray from my waterfall getting blown out, and the ground is sometimes wet from it. I love Oklahoma, but I hate this darn high wind!

The winds here are hairy. When it blows really hard, like it did Saturday, after working in it all day, I felt pretty battered. It bothers me alot, especially when I wear my hearing aid and the wind rushes over the microphone. On days like that, I usually take it out. The downside to that is people can sneak up on you. LOL.
