My pond and fish came with the house...and so did a big frog. Our property is now a bird haven with 5 nesting boxes for song birds......the first time I saw big froggie with feathers in her mouth she was evicted. She actually went to live in a class room of 2nd graders and lived for about 3 more years. Now all big frogs that show up are escorted back to the bog they came from. Removing the big ones has really helped the frog population in my pond. I pulled something like 18 frogs out of the 2 tiny top ponds right after the first freez this fall (they freeze solid). Lucky I noticed one under the ice, 5 had already died the rest I took down to a mud bottom river where I knew they would have the best chance. I know there are at least 3 in the fish pond and I am anxious to see if everybody survived.....Come on spring! Thaw out my pond!

Good to hear Big Froggie is back. He must have liked the muckiness of your plant pond. Very sweet that you made him a ramp- I am sure he will appreciate that.
