| Can someone tell me if Beckett Replacement Filter Pads would be o.k. to use as a filter around my pump in a rubbermaid container with holes or a "milk Crate"? I thought this would be good for that, and be easy to clean, but now I'm having second thoughts about it. I'm afraid it might be too dense for the water to get through enough for the pump not to over heat. It cost about $10.00 so I don't want to open it and try it, until I'm sure.
There seems to be 2 kinds of black man-made sponge looking pads in the package, one looks more dense and thinner than the other. I thought this was a good price to pay for something this large, if it will work out o.k. for surrounding the pump. Looks like it would be easy to clean, also. (They are replacement for Beckett BF350, BF700, PF357, BF950, BF1100 PF1100.) Thank you for reading, and any info! |

| The way you intend to use this material is as a pre-filter. The filter material is designed to go into a Beckett filter (container) so it is sized for that pre-filter and the pre-filter is designed for a certain size of pump. You should be able to figure it out from that information. |
