where to buy big mesh pots?

I need some big mesh pots. I'm putting them into the garden and planting rare bulbs in them, trying to protect the bulbs against rodents. So that means the holes in the pots shouldn't be bigger than about 1/2 inch. Ideally, the pots would be the size of plastic milk crates, or even bigger. Or they could be round, 3 gallon size or larger.

Does anyone know of a source? I found some nice ones (see the link) but I would prefer to order from a US supplier. Thanks.

You can get those big plastic mesh pots at either Lowes or Home Depot in their pond section. If those are not big enough, the link below carries them.

Sorry, I think that link is also in the U.K. Other than the two home improvement stores, I don't know of anyplace in the U.S. that carries those.

I put chicken wire over my pots with yummy bulbs and for the perennial bulbs I bury a piece of chicken wire about 1-2" below the surface of the dirt. The spacing is wide enough that the plants can sprout up through the wire but the squirrels can't dig down deep enough to get the bulbs.

I don't know if this would help in your situation.
