YIKES, Azolla everywhere!

I'd like to get rid of the overwhelming azolla on my goldfish tank. I scoop out a pound or two one day, and it's all grown back the next day.

In searching this forum and the web, I've learned that azolla helps prevent mosquitoes, some fish eat it, it makes good fertilzier, and it stopped the greenhouse effect millions of years ago, which is now called the 'Azolla Event'

But I'd like to see my fish. I read about chemicals, but I use the fish water in my garden, and I don't want to kill my veggies (or eat the chemical later).

Any suggestions on getting rid of it? I'm thinking about taking out all the other pond plants and trying to clean off all the azolla, then figuring a way to skim off the darn weeds. AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH.
