Just wondering about plants that will grow on the shelves built into my preformed pond under the water about 12" and other plants that will work in my 8x6 pond. I saw in a picture a plant that had thin spikey and was totally curly I thought was neat, but have no idea what it was called does anyone know? I also figure I'll put in some water lilies to float ontop. Any named plant ideas for me? I'd like some height on one side from some sort of stem plant that would do well under water and grow oh 2 or 3' tall.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Oh also I live in Nebraska so cold winters and hot summers. The pond is somewhat shaded on and off through out the day.
