The articles cover the subject of Chytrid fungus and it's deadly effect on amphibians.

A couple of reasons for the spread of chytrid fungus is that it can be brought about by the transporting of amphibians and water plants from an infected area to other areas where the fungus has not been previously found.

I guess this is another warning to us all,to be mindful about the possible negative consequences, resulting from transporting live stock and plants from one area to another, without consideration of the harm it could do.

Thanks for the warning Horton. We are so careful of things like that up here (Adirondack Mountains) because of some debilitating insects and zebra mussels.
