Bringing Lilies from Bottom of Pond

msamery

We live in Zone 5 in Ohio where it's been very warm and then very cold. The temps have been erratic and then we have periodic frost. The hardy lilies we put in the bottom of the pond last fall are sending up long, lanky leaves to the surface. Hubby wants to bring them up to the shelves but I think it's too early.

If we bring them up and we have frost, will it kill them? Or should we wait til mid-May like always?

Thanks for the input.
