Is water lotus fertilizer fish safe?

I want to put hardy water lotus in my pond, but I keep reading how they need constant feeding. Is it possible to successfully keep this plant in my pond without harming my fish?

Thanks
Mike

Absolutely. I've kept lotus in my pond for years. Just be careful that the fertilizeis well beneath the soil in the pot to prevent it from leaching into the pond water. I use either aquatic plant tabs or Miracle Grow spikes or Jobs spikes.
