Sarasa Comet has a red eye

Water temperature is getting above 50 F most days and the comets are beginning to become fun to watch. (450 gallon tank outside with aeration all winter. A bit of ice one morning.)

I just noticed one has a red eye. Appears to be a red spot bigger than the eyeball but I cannot tell for certain without catching it. The fish is white with red so it could have gone unnoticed for months. Shouldn't be too hard to catch it.

Is there anything I should be doing?
