conservation office comes to mind. I can't think of anywhere else to go for advice on a certain area, except I betcha there's someone in Kansas that could tell you what to stock it with.

When I was a kid there was some government office that helped rural people stock ponds for fishing. Search ~ kansas fish ponds site:.gov ~ might be a place to start.

Fish and Game is probably a good place to find direction.
Would suspect it comes under some kind of government control if just for the migrating waterfowl.. My only suggestion was to make it deeper as it's only around 4 feet max . given the extreme climate suspect that's too shallow ?? Certainly has great potential imagine having your own "fishing hole"?? Thanks gary
