My Lotus survived - when do I need to feed it?

After a few anxious weeks waiting to see if my Chowan Basu lotus survived our very odd winter, it now has five leaves headed to the surface. My question is - when do I need to feed it? There are no fish in the pond and no source of on going nutrients.

Once it starts making aerial leaves you can start to fertilize it. I'm glad it survived!
