| I am new to this forum and came across it in search of a tree, I would love your help.
We are wanting to build a large pond in our front pasture that will have an island in the middle of it. I would LOVE to find some lovely ornamental tree to plant there but am unsure what would be a good fit. I know it would have to be something water loving and have done some searching but haven't yet found 'the' one yet. If anyone has suggestions for me that would be fantastic! Thanks!

| Weeping willow would be gorgeous, or a bald cypress. Both just thrive in wet conditions! Stick some Japanese water irises out there too. |

| Sounds like a lovely idea. I like the weeping flowering almonds, but am not sure if they grow in the south. Please post pictures!! Anne |

| Think about one thing, if this pond is lined, how much tree debris is going to fall into that pond from your tree. I know, I'm a spoil sport. :o) |
