Very nice Karalynn! How neat, that it is right outside your screened-in porch! Does your pump have a filter? I think you just need a few more water plants and a little time and your water will clear up. Very nice! |

| Nice. When you have a pond you help the toads, frog population and thus help natures mosquito and fruit, vegetable pest insect eaters. |

| Karalynn.. Oh, what a beautiful job you did. I really like the waterfall part. However, I hate to tell you, but you are missing one very important ingredient!!!! A FISH WATCHING CHAIR!!! hahaha. Lovely job. I am impressed. Anne |

| Oh yeah, I'm with pashta. All you need is that chair. Nice job. |

| Great job. I love all of it. Flowers, pond, and even the sidewalk. |

Really like the waterfall - forget the chair - get a swing. Excellent. |

Lovely, both the new 'first pond' and the flowers. Something tells me that there will be another new 'second pond' in your future.:) Enjoy your new little paradise, your adventures are just beginning. joann |

Chair? Swing? I'd be adding a cot to the porch & napping there =] |

| Thank you! I'm glad you all enjoyed the pictures. The pond ended up being much bigger then I intended it to be but I'm really happy with the end result. I plan on moving the comfy chairs from the back porch to the front one so that I can sit out there and enjoy the sights and sounds of the pond. My pump does have a filter and the water does appear to be clearing up some. The drain hose I set up as an overflow is also working really well which is great since we had a rather nasty storm yesterday afternoon and are due for another one today. I stop to watch the fish swimming around every time I walk by the pond. Yesterday they were chasing each other around underneath the waterfall. And while I was scooping out the leaves blown in by yesterdays storm the fish were chasing the net! My new waterlilies that I added to the pond on friday already have some leaves that have reached the surface of the water. I had no idea that they grew so fast. How likely are the bullfrogs to eat the fish? According to my research bullfrogs seem to eat anything they can fit in their mouths. Is that true? |
