Our local WalMart has a warranty on its fish.

We were buying some cheap koi at the local WalMart and she said they had a 90 day warranty. Keep the receipt and the fish and return it for a replacement fish.

I never heard of such. Is is commonplace?

It should be a simple matter to keep the fish in a ziplock in the freezer. One could keep the receipt in a ziplock in the freezer too, for that matter.

That is an amazing warranty/guarantee.

I ordered fish from live aquaria couple yrs ago and they have a 2 week guarantee which is amazing but 90 days is incredible.

Petsmart is also a 14 day money back guarantee. I think you can return beyond that time (unsure how long) and get in store credit.

Our walmarts in Canada (at least the ones I frequent in our city) have stopped selling pet fish. Probably just as well as they seem to have issues with fish mortality and it was probably more of a hassle for them.
