| So far from what I've read the PR on this product looks pretty good. Sort of a powder form of Hydrogen Peroxide as it is an oxygenater. Marketing is one thing, reality can be another. Has anyone used this product and what were the results?

I did - can't remember spectacular results though. Nothing much was spectacular until we made a bigger filter. I put in a handful of other things as well, so it would be hard to pinpoint what helped. :) Mary

Hi Mary, I agree with you 100 percent. The secret to having a pond clear of algae is to build a bio-filter. If you add more fish and see that hair algae or suspended algae is starting up again, it just means that you have to add another bio-filter. Yours Koily, Lorraine

Most things too good to be true usually aren't worth the money. Sounds just like peroxide, and it sounds like it works better with direct contact with the algae. Here's a link to the ingredients in case any body knows what that means. Says don't use around amphibians.

Once I used this product 2 years ago I wouldn't go back to using anything else! It took care of the string algae problem we were having in our pond in short order and didn't hurt the fish or the plants...just make sure you follow the directions and rinse off any powder that gets on plants like the water lilies so it won't leave spots on them. It was so easy to sprinkle this product around. I'd tried so many others that really didn't do the job. Search the web and get a good price. You can get an 8# container anywhere from $39.95 to $62.95 + shipping. No need to pay more than necessary. Last time I spent less than $50 and that inclueded shipping. It was $54.95 at our local pond supply place!
