| I am new to having a pond. I had one put in last Fall. I love it. I have 4 Koi. I have been slowly landscaping around it. When I learn how to send a picture, I will.
The beginning of the Spring the water was drained and clean water put in. It looked wonderful, very clear. At this time it is very cloudy. I don't know if it is the pollen or what. Filter is going. What can I add to the pond to clear it up without harming fish? |

| I use the quilt batting that comes in a roll from the fabric store and I wad it up and place it so that the water has to go thru it before it goes into the pump and I change it every couple of days and it clears up the water really quickly. |

| Unless you added microbes from the pet store you may have killed off your bio control when you replaced the water. That is one reason many of us don't clean out the pond to the extent of draining all the water out. The fish are less stressed out and there is no wait to put them back. Do you have a test kit? Using it is the first step. |

| Fully draining and cleaning removes all the good algae and bacteria and your water has to cycle and start from scratch. |
