Picture of my pond

Six years later, here it is. It is almost work free thanks to the solid information I received from Garden Web good guys. I never, ever put chemicals in it. I have a 70 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank filter and keep my fish population to 5 goldfish. Lots of lilly pads for shading from the Southern sun. Love, love ponding. We make such a positive environmental impact.
Thanks for looking at my "Great Obsession".

Nice pond. How do you limit your fish to 7? Mine breed like crazy.

Looks much like my own pond and about the same size and age
I do not take water out just add more if needed
Do not clean out the "junk" on bottom figure the plants grow in it.
and I do have some nice plants growing Including water lilies several different ones that overwinter in Canada
Makes me feel as if I should be doing more when you read all about the work involved in ponds Yet my fish are fine the plants are gorgeous.

Very nice! How is your stock tank filter constructed? That's about the size I am needing.

Beautiful! I love the lotus. I tried to plant lotus I was given today and am not sure I did it correctly. I may have killed it off. I hope not. I love them.

Lovely *obsession* and kudos for remaining chemical free. Balance is the key. TFS.

Very inspirational ncponder!!!
I'm in eastern carolina and we just put in a pond and I just joined Gardenweb. I teach elementary school and we installed a pond a couple of years ago. Our school partnered with the NC Museum of Natural Sciences UTOTES program - Using the Outdoors to Teach Experential Science.
Anyway, my husband and I caught the ponding bug.
We are going fish-less and electric-less.
We still have lots of work to do - no stones yet, just a few plants.
Your pix is exciting and a great motivation - very beautiful!!!
