please help!!!

My Lotus were doing beautifully then all of the sudden they were turning brown and leaves were dying back one after the other so i started inspecting and found huge caterpillars were on them eating them up! What can i do to save them? how can i keep them away? thanks for any advice.

thats what i figured. no permanant solution. upon further inspection today they are also swarmed with what im pretty sure are aphids. is it true you can spray cooking spray on the lotus to get rid of them?

now i dont think they are aphids with more research i started a new thread with pics if you can go look please and thankyou
