I love to see new ponds going in. Please keep posting. We'd love to see the continued progress as well as the finished product.

It is about 4.5 ft deep. I think I am going to put a "koi toilet1" in the center, and bring that up to an external pump. I am not sure what kind of pre-filter to use above the pond level to go in front of my pump. I should of planned it all before hand, but I had access to the trencher for free between jobs at work, so I decided to get the hole dug. Well if anyone has some ideas let me know. Thanks Derek

You really do want a bottom drain. Also where is your pump box going to be? Should have used the trencher to dig your electric back to the house!!

I am planning to put the pump inside my garage. I am going to use 2 pumps, 1 for the BD and 1 for the skimmer. I used to have a hot tub up next to the house, so I have 220V coming out of the ground a few feet from one end of the pond. I will have to add some sort of electrical box to run things from. I have been reading on the "koi Shack" board to get ideas also, as suggested by ccoombs1. Derek
