Stocking pond with wood frogs

My Dads friend has a huge natural pond filled with wood frogs and such. I was wondering could i capture some of the wood frogs from there pond and put them in my pond?
My house is in the city and the pond is 60 gallons has water hyacinth, parrots feather, and Iris versicolor in it so tons of hidding places. Could i do that?
Im thinking about bringing 3 maybe?
Thanks

It works for me. Sometimes they live for years.

I love having frogs in my small pond. However, they don't always stay around. Since the frogs are native to your area, I think putting them in your pond sounds like fun.

I would research them to make sure you can provide the right habitat for them as they are not a typical water frog like a green frog or bull frog.. I found this site for you..

Here is a link that might be useful: Wood frog info

When I tried to stock my pond with native tree frogs they never stayed. When I built a smaller pond with no waterfall, pump or fish, they moved in right away and have never left.

One of my ponds I dug with a bulldozer is about the size of a city lot and has a lot of tadpoles in it. A friend's grandkid threw a watermelon rind into the pond and this is what happened.

There is a hole in the bottom where the tadpoles go in and out.
