| Specifically a couple of gold fish to a barrel with a waterlily in it? I put it together almost 3 weeks ago, and now I have some algae growing in there. Although I started with 3 plants, one started growing then died, one was pulled out and eaten by something, ( I think it was one of our geese ) and the other looks like it is growing, but hasn't hit the surface of the water yet. When I filled the barrel I used rain water, not tap.
Thanks

| Rainwater is not always the best choice for a water garden but after 3 weeks the water has cycled enough that it should be safe, except for the geese going after them. Mostly it depends on how the water was collected and aeration. |

| Thanks, I will look for some fish on my next run to town then. That darn goose just WON'T stay over by the barn! Which is all the way across the yard, and where she gets fed. For some reason she is always up by the house, and gets out of every fence we put up for her. Time to get her a boyfreind (coyotes got her last one) maybe that will keep her home. Jenny P |
