I came up with a fun little fish viewing tool last week when I was frequently trying to get a look at my sick fish, who were hanging out at the bottom of some pea soup.

I took a 18 inch long section of 4" diameter pvc pipe and put two layers of plastic wrap over the end (the thicker stuff from costco works well). I then wrapped plastic wrap up the sides of the pipe and then wrapped duct tape all the way up the sides.

I have been able to stick the closed end in the water and look through the tube to get a better view of what is going on in the deeper water.

Now that my fish are feeling better, they seem to enjoy swimming by the tube and looking up through it at me! It has been great to be able to get a close up view of fins and bodies without disturbing the fish, and to get a view of them that I normally wouldn't.
