What paint to use???

To plant my new lotus in container, I want to paint the inside of this very large ceramic planter black.

What paint can I use which will:

1) Stick to the non-glazed inside (outside is glazed)

2) Not poison the lotus plant

3) Provide some water resistant coating on the inside

Black Rubber Paint... if you can find Hecht Neoprene Black Rubber Paint (Hecht Rubber Co., Jacksonville, FL). Watch the reapply times between coats, I think they are short; but, then watch the final cure time because I think it is a lot longer, maybe 36 hours!?

I know that Hecht's product won't allow the alkali from masonry to leach into water.
