| Hello there,
So I bought an LED submersible pond light (can be used above or underneath water) a few weeks back and put it in the pond. Now I notice there is condensation on the inside of the plastic lens. I don't think it's a leak, but you never know. Anyway, I removed from the pond and opened it up and am drying it out. Any way to prevent this from happening again? Maybe put aquarium silicone on the seams just in case it is a leak? Has anyone ever encased their lights, say, in a glass jar somehow to prevent these problems? Is this inevitable due to the light heating up under water and then cooling off? Maybe it's just a matter that the air inside the light, before it was closed up, had some humidity in it and now with the cool water and the light heating up (when it's on) that condensation is forming? It's disappointing as I love the look of the light submersed. Thanks for any advice you can give, Regards, Glen |

| I have some submersible-only pond LEDs and once had one of the three go bad. Water somehow made its way into the housing and the light no longer worked. This happened within the first year and I was able to return it and get a substitute. The company claimed that it was very, very unique (to have this type of failure). You might just want to use it and see what happens. Make sure you have the lense cover screwed tight to the housing. Good Luck! |

| Have a string of 3, 1 got moisture in some how and no longer works, other 2 still work but I am afraid to use them now, wouldn't want to fry the fish. If you can exchange it I would. It took a year before I noticed mine but it blew very quickly after it started to get moisture in it. |
