Q about transplanting lotus seedlings.

I've read that regular ole muck makes for good lotus soil. We have a very sandy soil and since I don't know where to get regular ole muck, Roses sells cheap potting soil and I got a bag of that. It isn't the same dirt they used to sell. This had quite a bit of bark material in it and after 4 days the water is still not clear. Some of the bark had floated to the surface but I strained that off.

Do y'all think this soil is going to be okay? I went ahead and planted one of the seedlings anyway but have several more I need to plant.
