Leeches
|
How did they get there? I've seen leeches used in medical environment, leeches in the wild of Asia, they're all much bigger than these. Can these leeches poke through my skin and suck blood? I guess I can find out myself, but don't want to. LOL.

There are many species of leeches. They come in on plants, from birds, frogs etc. I always wear rubber gloves when sticking my hands into any of my ponds. I had an internet friend over once who was an aquatic biologist and he said they were common and harmless. When you build a pond, wildlife of all kinds just show up.

Good to know, thanks!!!
