That's good to know. I sometimes feed them lettuce. They seem to like the older pieces that are starting to break down but eat the whole lot.

'poles love corn on the cobb too...or i should say they love the leftovers after my fishies are done pickin it clean & using it as a toy. cheap entertainment:)

I threw a rind into my pond that is full of tadpoles and they started eating it in minutes. Not as many as pictured but at least half a dozen so far....

I put a hole in the bottom so the could go in and out easier.
They were swimming over the rind!
They like Cantaloupe too, but not as well.
I have a large pond so with all this extra food, I'm not fouling it.

Mine is a quarter rather than half rind. :) They are still loving it.
