Lotus Seed Pods

My Lotus went to flower and I was wondering if I should remove the seed pods so it will flower again or does it flower after going to seed? Thank you.

It will continue to flower. You don't need to dead head the old blooms.

Could you possibly send me some of the seeds ? I obviously would pay postage or be interested in trading something for them.

Duddly, the seeds won't produce a true form of the lotus that it came from unless it is American, Sacred, or any other pure form of lotus.

I have some pods standing up now, and I was wondering when I should take the pods off if I want to try to plant the seeds? I wanted to try to put them in some containers like I saw in this site if I can get the seeds to produce.

Leave them till the plant dies and dries up. Probably in the Winter.

I think lotus only blooms once per year. Even if you cut off the spent blooms or pods, I don't think it would encourage more blooms this year. I just let mine shrivel up. If you know someone who arranges flowers, though, you might consider cutting the pods and giving them to her or him. They're quite coveted by flower arrangers.
