| I have an earth bottom pond, which I had cleaned 20+ yrs ago, with a bulldozer, etc. I am considering doing it again, as there's a deep layer of black silt, which I find unpleasant to step in. Had an estimate this morning, and am reeling!! So--has anyone used the "natural" enzymes that are advertised to actually digest this sludge? They themselves are pricey, but nothing like the headache of dredging. I can't tell if they are for real or not--and don't want to waste my money. Otherwise, the pond is thriving. |

| Katie, I use microblift and like the way it keeps the bottom of my 160 gal pond sludge-free. HOWEVER... I have no idea if any of the products would work on 20 years of sludge and, yes, it would be very expensive if you have a large pond. Anne |
