Solar Critter Repeller

Came across this item in a Harriet Carter catalog the other day. Don't know if it will help CalamityJ and others with their critter problems but am including a link for you to check out.

Can't be any worse than the Sonic Mosquito Repeller that didn't keep the mosquitoes away, but it did mightily irritate a grouchy Great Dane from a few houses away. Once I was safely in the house I tossed it in the trash. Sure didn't want to have that happen again!!!

I have lost quite a few koi to racoons and two years ago i bought a "cat scat" a ultrasonic pest repeller and it works great.. We have not had any racoons in our pond since we put it up.. I would highly recommend one if you have coons, cats, dogs that get in your ponds..

The problem is it won't distinguish between friendly and non friendly critters.

I tried two different ultrasonic pest repellers and neither worked. The raccoons trashed the pond anyway. The only thing that has worked for me is an electric fence.

Make sure if your using the pest repeller that you point it somewhat downwards when pointing it across the pond cause the raccoons are down low towards the water.. if you point it straight across I think that when they get down near the water that they are under its "beam"
