pondless water feature question-2 water rocks/1 pump?

Hello all,

I'm a long-time lurker/occasional poster to this forum. Thanks to all of you who so generously share of your time and knowledge with others.

I've got a small yard but we're going to expand the couple of pondless water features I have to give the birds and wildlife a bit "more." We've done two basic pondless, bubbling rocks already. (Bucket in the ground, pump, grate on top of bucket, rock on top of grate.) They've been great and the wildlife really enjoy them.

What I'm wondering about is when you see water features with two or three bubbling rocks/columns, does each one need its own pump? Or can you do some kind of a V (if the pump is strong enough) to run it to both rocks?

And if you can run two off of one pump, how do you figure what size pump you need?

If I have a pump that says it "Pumps 320 gallons of water per hour; 8-foot maximum lift" does that mean it could power two bubbling rocks that were just 1 foot tall each?

Thanks in advance.
