Algae Problem in Pond

giniene

I have a very large pond, it's 3/4 of an acre and 750,000 gallons. All of a sudden, we've developed a bad algae problem. Is there any algae eating fish that can survive upstate NY winters that I could get for this problem? We also have 5 inch bass and catfish in the pond so the fish would probably have to be bigger than the bass. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. We put salt bricks last week that have helped in the past but did no good this time and the algae has grown more over the past week. This morning, we put barley straw; will this help? Thank you for any suggestions.
