Beautiful pond and fish. The big lily pads (victoria or something like that?) are super. Thanks for posting the pictures. Anne

Which Vic have you got? It looks like either V. amazonica or V. "Longwood".

Thanks Anne! Pondmanimal: I'm not sure, they have very red sidewalls this year, and the pads seem to last for weeks, whereas last year the sidewalls were greener and the pads would start to disintegrate after about 10 days. We ordered them in the winter and they started growing them in a greenhouse so when we picked them up in June, we were already getting 18 inch pads. They are taking over the pond, but they are a super fun plant. Everyone who comes over think they are fake!

Truly lovely! The fish are beautiful and I love the Victoria lily pads. Also, in the last photo with the fish, there are some lily pads that are two toned with ragged or serrated edges. Are they a tropical? I love looking at pond photos and I have the itch to expand my pond, but not the ability at this time. I guess I have to live vicariously through all of you with such lovely ponds! Thanks for showing us yours! Carla

Wow! I have a bad case of spring fever so am going through older messages here and dreaming of spring and what gigantic lily pads! We have a large pond but I would be afraid they would take over everything down there! But your pond is beautful!!!
