whats eating my lotus leaves

these lotus were grown from seed, and were up to 3-4 leaves per plant and for a few weeks now have need doing great. I got rosy red minnows because I noticed mosquito larvae swimming around. Ive never had a problem with minnons eating plants before and I cant see anyting in the water or on the plants that could be doing this. its frustrating... so anyone? someone? please help.
