Ducks need HELP with their pond

I need some help. We rescued some ducks and was using a pool for them till we got the pond set up. Once we got them to the pond, they loved it. We have water plants and a filter running in it to keep it clean. Over the 4th, our grand children was in the pond. Now the ducks refuse to go into the pond or even drink from it. Can ANYONE tell us what to do to get the ducks back to using the pond PLEASE?

Is it because the water tastes funny? After the kids were in it.. (lotions, soaps, etc) or do you think they are just frightened? If its the first you can change some of the water if its the 2nd they will go back in after they realize that its quiet and ok to go back in.

The pond is 25'X50'. The kids don't use lotion and it was in the afternoon, My husband got some gold fish yesterday and put them in to make sure there was not anything in there that would hurt the ducks. Fish are doing fine. Still looking for a solution.

I would say wait and they will get back in the pond after a while. It is similar to kids who do not eat family fusses and fusses after a while if left alone they will eat something. I would think after commotion dies down ducks will want to be in a pond!
