Yep it is weird and most of us ponders have "the disease"!!! hahaha

For the first time I have finally attracted two frogs to my pond and I look for them every time I go to it - one will let me walk right up to it and touch it. I even like the wasps and bees that visit the pond and stream for drinks. There are some kind of blue/black ones that are so amusing. I am delighted the two or three times a summer I see the snakes.

There are some interesting threads on this forum about frogs, even pictures of bullfrogs eating out of people's hands, which might be what you were referring to regarding the crickets.

In my city, I have not seen a frog since, well over 20 years ago when we use to have forested areas.:-(

Any who come here are amazed that I even have them let alone have fun with them in my adult life.lol

One does let me touch him while the other jumps into the pond as soon as it sees me and screeches as it falls in.lol These frogs have eaten over a dozen crickets at one sitting, no kidding.
