Container Pond - Full Shade??

I don't know what happened to my first post, so if this gets posted twice, I apologize. I have decided to get my feet wet with a small container pond. A few plants, a couple of goldfish, and maybe a small fountain. I am going to put it on my patio, which is completely covered, and faces south. It will be in full shade. Will this work or does it need to get some sun every day? If it needs sun, how much does it need? Thanks!

I doesn't really need direct sun, if you're not trying to grow flowering plants. What kind of plants do you have? How many goldfish? For them, its probably best to be out of the sun. Keep your eye on how hot the water gets. And just be aware that raccoons and cats love to catch fish! Good luck on your project. That's how I started too.

Oh for an atrium --- with a pond --- and fish --- and shade tolerant plants --- away from mosquitos --- not far from the recliner!
Sounds good!, but you will soon be wanting something bigger LOL.
