Leaking Pond Liner

Hi, I have an 8,000 gallon koi pond - 4 feet above ground with rocks and about 5 feet underground. It was built using the black liner. I started having a leak spilling down between the rocks ( upper 4 feet). When I lowered the water down below the normal water line the leaking stops.
I have looked as closely as I can for a cut in the liner but I can't find anything. Is there a product that I could just
paint onto the liner around the entire water line of the pond
that wouldn't hurt my fish. If so would it last or peel off or
is a product like this not even available? Thanks for any information.

I don't think there is a sealing material that you could paint on. I suspect we would all know about it if it existed ;-).

Are you saying that you can actually see the water dripping thru??. I assume not since that should make it semi-easy to find. More detail might tip us off on where or how you might look.
