Hello all,,

I have finally finished my expanded pond,,before I had a preformed kidney shaped pond half in the ground and was ok,but I wanted a bigger pond with more depth for the fish. So I had an idea to build a square brick wall around the old pond,and built it up about 2 feet(double row of bricks so it's strong)

Then I layed down some sand and pebbles to make the floor around the old pond level,,threw down a liner,and filled the whole thing..so the center is about 2and a half feet deep,and the rest is about a foot deep. It worked out so well,,I used a sheet of vapour barrier which is extremely thick,I eventually will find a real pond liner but for now this will do. The cost was 30 bucks versus 100.
