Mine aren't LED so color is likely different but I find that the red is the only one that shows up as colored the others all look white, especially after a few years.

My suggestion if to wait a few weeks, then go out at night and hold a flashlight underwater to see how it looks. Underwater lights will make even fairly clean pond water look pretty bad. Most ponders try to downplay water defects, not highlight them.

If your water is crystal clear it would look very nice. Wait until your pond settles in before you spend a lot of money.

This is not a direct answer to your question, I know...
I have a new pond as of 4/2010. We put both submergable lights and a couple faux rock lights that direct light to the waterfall and around the perimeter of the pond. Although the water does look a bit cloudy through the lights, if not for lighting I would not be able to enjoy the pond after dark. Because of the 'night light' I also found out pretty early on I had some 'surprise fry'. Every night at our house one of us announce (quite loudly and with a smile) 'LIGHTS ARE ON'!

I see the best results with clear filters on the lights unless I want it to shine up under plants. Then I like blue filters. Blue lights shining up under dark colored taro is spectacular.

To test for color, use saran wrap, colored with magic markers, over a bright flashlight. One of the cheap multi LED flashlights gives a good idea.If you need to submerge it, be sure to put it in a waterproof plastic bag.
