Wood waterproofing Prosdyuctsd?

Shalom - does anybody have any experience/suggestions for waterproofing wood around the pond? As I understasnd, most waterproofing products contain copper sulfate and that copper is very toxic to Koi.

My thought is to waterproof the waterwheel this fall after it has had time to shrink and age.

I guess I could use a marine polyurthane, but I'd like to water proof prior to the poly.

Thanx,
McKool

Waterproof, no. I don't think that exists given how much wood moves.

For water resistant I used oil based stain.
