| I few days ago while doing some plant maitnence on my pond I found 5 small baby fish in the plant rings. My question is when do you see color in the koi, i had baby goldfish last year and were brown to black in color till they were a few weeks old and about an inch. The babies I found are a little less than half an inch but are already various shades of black and orange, they were silver the first day. They are too small to see any barbs. |

| Koi are usually colored when they hatch as opposed to goldfish who aren't except for shubunkins which are also colored. |
