Pond after Heavy snow

So On Monday it began to Snow.... Yeah that's right in September. But not just a little here we got 20+cm. it snapped trees and plants all over the city and crushed everything.... Including all my pond plants... Today it is finally Melting away and it's just a big soggy mess now and my pond starting to over fill but not much I can do... Anyway I'm wondering what to do with some of my plants.... As all there stems are just snapped and crushed.... Here's the pics of my pond over 7 days.....

Then today..... Didn't take a photo yesterday..
And as you can see my pickerel is all snapped and bent and same with my dwarf cattail.... Should I just trim them?

I think that's what I would do - at least the broken ones. If they are just bent they may snap back, but if they look dead or dying you might as well just cut them back and look forward to next year. Bummer - what a strange weather year we've had!
