Aphids!

Oh no, I haven't seen them on any of the nearby plants. How do I kill them? Flush them off the pads with a garden hose?

Thanks,

That is what i would try first because you dont want to use chemicals in your pond. Do you have fish also?

Thanks for that great video! Love your pond. I'm in Bakersfield also, what part of town are you in? My pond is much smaller, I only have 1 goldfish, don't really want much more than that, maybe 1 more. I prefer only plants. Will water drown the aphids, or will they just jump onto my other floating plants if I hose them off the lily pads?
Thanks,

If you wash them off the pads, the fish will eat them ;-)

I am in the southwest. Near White Lane and Stine. Thanks for the compliment on the pond. It is much nicer now than the website depicts. Those photos were taken 5 years ago. My grandson made the website for the pond and I need to update it. If you are out my way and want to see it let me know. Always glad to show it off.
