What not to do with a stock tank heater...

Our temps have been very cold for this time of year. Went down to 15F last night so I came home from work at 8 just to put the stock tank heater in the pond--thinking to warm the pond a little.I had forgot that I am running 2 external pumps at about 300 watts between the two of them. I plugged in the 1500Watt stock tank heater to their electrical box and went off to work. The breaker the pond stuff is on is on the same breaker as my furnace. Got home from work at 11:30 and straight to bed. This am at 8:30 looked out the kitchen window to discover the waterfalls not running.

Ooopss... Yah think 1500 Watts, 300 Watts and the furnace cutting in--just a little too much power for one breaker!

Fish are fine. Unplugged the heater, reset the GFC breaker and started the waterfall up again.
