saving frogs on top of net

Do you guys have this problem? I just put my leaf net over my pond and every day, there are frogs on top of it that I have to scoop up and put underneath so they can get to the water. This morning, there were 8 of them! Big frogs, little frogs, lots of frogs!

I lifted up the edge of the net and put them all in the water. Is there such a thing as too many frogs in the pond? Mine is small, only about 800 gal or so. Where are they all coming from? I don't think they were in the pond to begin with because how would they get on top of the net? The net is pretty well secured down. Should I keep putting them in the water or put them out in the woods and let them find another body of water? I don't want to over-frog my pond (if that's even possible.) BTW, they are frogs, not toads.

Many ponders leave a space under the edge of the netting to allow access for the froggies. They can get tangled up in the net though so keep checking. Sandy

The same thing happened to me but with not so many frogs. I just found one on top of the net. I was really shocked to see him sitting there! I managed to flip him in the water and then lifted the edge off the ground just a little on both sides in case another one got caught. I'll just pickup what few leaves get in.

I just caught about 6 more and put them in the pond under the net. It's been raining and that seems to be when they show up. So, do you think you can have too many frogs in a pond? Once they're in there they can't easily get back out from under the net, and I don't too many.
