Laying brick surround around stock tank

I currently have a 100 gallon stock tank, just recently purchased and a bunch of left over brick from when our house was built. We have a patio made out of some kind of concrete with stamps. It is on a slight downhill slope for water run-off. I would like to use the brick as a surround to the stock tank, for above ground use on the patio, meeting up with the side of the house. I have never laid brick and have no idea how this is done. I have seen several ideas on here for surrounds, but how to accomplish this?? Does anyone out there have an easy way to make this happen, besides hiring it done? Thank you in advance.

Just stack them and put a rod/pole down thru the holes for now.Add dirt in the holes and add pretty hanging plants for later. That way you can move it later if you want to.
